FHV Aboriginal TRACK and FUN DAY
Posted on June 20th, 2017
Tuesday, June 27th
Track and Fun Day will include traditional Aboriginal activities which will allow students to learn about First Nations, Metis and Inuit culture and sporting events. We are looking for parent volunteers to assist on Tuesday, June 27th from 9:00-2:30. In the event of uncooperative weather, we will have INDOOR Track and Fun activities and will still require volunteers. Sign up was sent out electronically. If you have not had a chance to sign up and are still interested in helping out, please email Mr. Huseby at email@example.com.
We ask that the students bring:
o A bottle of water (labeled with student’s name)
o A hat
o Sunscreen & Bug repellent (applied at home)
o Clothing appropriate for the weather (including running shoes-no flip flops please)
o 1 piece of fruit (e.g. banana, orange, apple, watermelon…) to be cut and shared at school
Students will receive a healthy fruit snack. Also, School Council will be providing lunch (1 hot dog, carrots & a freezie). Please note that if one hot dog is not enough for your child, they are encouraged to bring additional lunch.
